Sexual harassment is another subject of interpersonal discourse that occurs in the workplace. Although intimate harassment violates Title VII of the Civil Rights bet of 1964 and as amended by the Civil Rights Act of 1991, it is still a reality in all places of employment which is why it is something that everyone should have the efficiency to identify, understand, and effectively respond to. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission defines sexual harassment as followsUnwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other literal or physical conduct of a sexual nature bring up sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individuals employment, immoderately interferes with an individuals work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, and offensive work environment.
